The Challenge:
To unite our faith and finances for one year in an extraordinary effort to meet the spiritual and physical needs of our world and local community.
In studying the book of James, we are challenged by the Word to address the needs around us. Spiritually, so many still have limited access to the Gospel. There are communities without pastors, villages without churches, and tribes who have yet to hear the name of Jesus. There are also many who desperately need access to food, water, and immunizations. More than 26,000 children die each day of starvation or preventable disease.
God has entrusted the Gospel to us! He has given us extraordinary physical resources compared to the rest of the world. In light of all that we have, and all that the world needs, we must not be content to merely listen to the Word. We will take action and do what it says.
50/50 Giving
We will love our neighbor as ourselves. GL2010 provides us the vehicle by which we can potentially triple our world missions impact, while at the same time resource local ministry and benevolence. For every dollar given to GL2010 and spent locally on community outreach and long-term debt reduction, another dollar will be spent on missions. This is truly our local vision with a global impact. May our light shine brightly at home and throughout the world.
